Cambridge will provide a 40-hour (5 days) train-the-trainer program for up to 70 high school counselors to build district capacity. Curriculum for the program will be designed to inform best practices and increase awareness of the college admissions process. This will include information on college options and guidance, financial aid, career placement, vocational schools, first-generation college-bound students, and college programs for students with learning disabilities. Training will be scaffolded in order to address the needs of counselors currently in the position that have previously been trained as well as counselors new to their position.
