Sales Associate/Sales Assistant

We are currently seeking a Sales Associate.

Accepted candidates will undergo a six (6) month paid training period with a follow up executive review to determine full-time employment and additional benefits.  The ideal candidate will be positive and outgoing and enjoy interpersonal interaction; highly intuitive with the ability to think abstractly to arrive at concrete solutions; and will possess self-confidence, imagination, and individual initiative. This is a position best suited for former educators or candidates with experience in the education field.

Required responsibilities and skills:

  • Achieve a preset six (6) month sales goal, which upon executive review of performance and success will determine full-time employment.
  • Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers, following leads with meaningful dialogue, analyzing customer needs and problems, and crafting solutions.
  • Maintain existing accounts by establishing and cultivating personal relationships with clients, offering advice, and generally creating a partnership with existing clients.
  • Expand sales to existing accounts by advising clients of changing conditions in the educational arena, notifying them of product and service additions and updates, and reminding them of the availability of and applications for existing and new products.
  • Leverage established company-client relations to promote other Cambridge products and services, to identify and close new client accounts, and to cross-sell additional Cambridge services and products.
  • Attend local, regional, and national trade shows, conferences, and other events to publicize and promote products and services.
  • Identify potential clients and follow-up with meaningful dialogue using a variety of tools.
  • Create and make presentations to professional and service groups using PowerPoint and similar applications.
  • Coordinate with other departments to deliver exceptional products and services to current and new locations.
  • Prepare effective written communications including e-mail, letters, marketing materials, proposals, etc. using MS Word and PDF format.
  • Maintain clear and detailed records in company database of activities and report to management on a regular basis using various tools such as Excel spreadsheets.

Education and experience:

  • This position prefers a minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent.
  • Three years of sales or account management experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Background in education is highly preferred.
  • Minimum ACT Score 25 or SAT Score 1740.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0.

Compensation:

  • Base salary commensurate with experience.

Technology Support Associate

We are seeking a Technology Support Associate.  This position requires practical knowledge of programming and high familiarity with computers.  The ideal candidate will be positive and enjoy interpersonal interaction; highly intuitive with the ability to think abstractly and arrive at concrete solutions; and possess self-confidence, imagination, and individual initiative. This role can also require additional projection management and content development skills.  Company’s goals for full-time candidates are:

  • Gain a detailed understanding of our products, markets, customers, technologies, policies and procedures.
  • Become an invaluable employee whose contributions are considered essential to the company’s success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and solutions for hardware, software, server, and other technology-based issues.
  • Deploy scripts to enhance office information resources
  • Support educational software for both Windows client and web applications.
  • Collaborate with external developers to realize products quickly.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation of activities and report to management on a regular basis through daily meetings, project management software, and email.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experienced in FileMaker.
  • Moodle or other educational platforms experience is a plus.
  • Visual Studio, Office Interop, Sharepoint knowledge is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XML is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of some programming (programming not integral to position).
  • Flexibility in working with Windows, OSX, and Linux platforms.

Education and experience:

  • This position requires a minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree in Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or related area..
  • 1-3 years of technology experience and/or software development is a plus.
  • Background in education market is a plus.
  • Minimum ACT Score 25 or SAT Score 1740 
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
