Accounting Assistant

Data and School Relations Associate

We are seeking a Data and School Relations Associate. The ideal candidate will be positive, outgoing, highly intuitive with the ability to think abstractly to arrive at concrete solutions, enjoy interpersonal interaction in a fast-paced environment and will possess self-confidence, imagination, and individual initiative. This position works closely with customers to procure testing data and then deliver and interpret data reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers to explain various options for data reports that meet their needs and goals for their test preparation program.
  • Work with customers to obtain the correct data and assist them in submitting data files in appropriate formats.
  • Format excel data files to be sent to external data preparation company.
  • Act as a liaison between external data preparation company and customers using a high-level of problem solving ability and maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Train customers on how to interpret and understand data reports.
  • Have a good understanding of standardized tests and the ability to understand data report algorithms in order to help in the creation of new reports and provide suggestions for improvement of current reports based on customer feedback.

Education and Experience:

We are currently seeking a full-time production and graphics assistant to join our Publishing Department. The position requires general graphic design skills, incredible attention to detail, and the ability to complete routine tasks with accuracy.

  • Review document layout for accuracy and consistency in adhering to production checklist: formatting, pagination, page references, image quality

Publishing Director

We are seeking a Publishing Director. The position requires high-level editing and project management skills, strong attention to detail, individual initiative, and ability to meet strict deadlines and manage a team. The publishing director is responsible for print, online, eBook, and media content development from start to finish, including editing, project management, working with freelancers and content expert reviewers, and approving proofs. This position supervises 4 internal publishing staff and 25 part-time and contract proofreaders and writers to complete approximately 9 projects per quarter.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead development of new or next-generation print and electronic products.
  • Help steer editorial direction and policy and oversee market research to improve products.
  • Oversee alignment of products to educational and testing standards and align endeavors with educational trends and the standardized testing landscape.
  • Manage projects including scheduling, updating content (writing and editing), copyediting, and proofreading.
  • Communicate with and train other departments on packaging and sales implementation of published products.
  • Manage assigned publishing processes and supervise Editorial Assistants.
  • Oversee freelance writers and content expert reviewers.
  • Coordinate production process, approve proofs, and ensure content quality and accuracy.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in journalism or English

School and Customer Support Associate

We are currently seeking a School and Customer Support Associate. The ideal candidate will be positive, outgoing, and enjoy interpersonal interaction. Candidate must be highly intuitive with the ability to think creatively to arrive at concrete solutions. Candidates must also possess self-confidence, imagination, and individual initiative. This role can be fulfilled as a full time, part time, or internship position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support current school and customer accounts by engaging in meaningful dialogue, analyzing customer needs and problems, and crafting solutions
  • Grow existing accounts by establishing and cultivating personal relationships with clients, and offering advice, creating a partnership
  • Expand sales to existing accounts by maintaining relationships, advising clients of changing conditions in the educational arena, notifying them of product and service additions and updates, and reminding them of the availability of and applications for existing and new products.
  • Attend local, regional, and national trade shows, conferences, and other events to publicize and promote products and services.
  • Provide genuine customer service in all interactions with customer accounts.
  • Coordinate with other departments to deliver exceptional products and services to all locations
  • Prepare effective written communications including E-mail, letters, etc.
  • Maintain clear and detailed activity records in the company database and create reports for management on a regular basis using various tools such as Excel spreadsheets.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years of sales, account management, or customer service experience is preferred, but not required
  • Background in education or standardized testing is highly preferred

Compensation:

  • Base salary commensurate with experience

We are currently seeking a Technology Development and Support Associate. This position requires practical knowledge of programming, high familiarity with computers, and project management and content development skills. Required Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and solutions for all company IT needs including servers, network, hardware, software and end user support.
  • Support educational software for both Windows client and web applications.
  • Collaborate with external developers to develop, realize, and test products quickly.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation of activities and report to management on a regular basis through daily meetings, project management software, and e-mail.
  • Development of database infrastructure and automation using FileMaker and assorted web languages.

Education and Experience:

  • This position prefers candidates who are pursuing or have completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XML
  • Working knowledge of computer programming - JavaScript and other web languages preferred
  • Experience utilizing APIs is a plus
  • Flexibility in administering Windows and OSX workstations
  • Moodle or other educational platforms experience is a plus
  • Database administration and development is a plus
  • 1-3 years of IT experience and/or software development is a plus
  • High standardized test scores and high GPA preferred

Test Prep Writer

We are currently seeking high-level test preparation writers from the fields of science (biology, chemistry, physics, or applied sciences), language arts, or mathematics nationwide who can produce new test preparation questions and instructional test preparation materials.

This writing work can be accomplished by individuals who have other positions or responsibilities. This is a remote position, the work can generally be accomplished through phone and electronic communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and review original language arts, mathematics or science-oriented test prep questions, answer choices, and answer explanations for standardized tests, including ACT®, SAT, GRE®, GMAT®, LSAT®, and others.
  • Ensure work is consistent with the approach and content of standardized tests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, mathematics, or science field required.
  • Must have the ability to independently analyze content, and create original test questions, answers, and explanations.
  • Previous experience in technical writing and standardized testing preferred.
  • High standardized test scores and high GPA preferred
