School Relations Intern

Marketing Intern

We are seeking a Marketing Intern.

The ideal candidate will be positive and outgoing and enjoy interpersonal interaction; highly intuitive with the ability to think abstractly to arrive at concrete solutions; and will possess self-confidence, imagination, and individual initiative.

Required responsibilities and skills:

  1. Understand our products, markets, customers, technologies, and competitive advantages.
  2. Assist the Marketing department with administrative tasks such as data entry, mail merges, lead tracking, and direct mail fulfillment.
  3. Assist in preparation of effective written communications including e-mails, letters, marketing materials, and proposals.
  4. Create/edit Power Point presentations.
  5. Perform marketing research for various projects.
  6. Expand marketing vendor base by contracting with new distributors.
  7. Attend local, regional, and national trade shows, conferences, and other events to publicize and promote products and services.

Education and experience:

This position requires a minimum of two years of college education (for full-time only) in marketing, communications, or graphic design.  Background in education market is a plus.  Graphic design experience, design knowledge are a plus.

Compensation and benefits:

Interns will be awarded a stipend of $500 per month.  Internship benefits include: Class credit (when offered by the school), great business experience, invaluable office skills, flexible work schedule, and flexible time-off.

School Relations Intern

We are seeking young candidates for a paid School Relations Internship.

The ideal candidate will be positive and outgoing and enjoy interpersonal interaction; highly intuitive with the ability to think abstractly and arrive at concrete solutions; and will possess self-confidence, imagination, and individual initiative.

The company’s goals for the successful candidate are:

  1. Gain valuable office experience and a detailed understanding of our products, markets, customers, technologies, policies and procedures.
  2. Become an invaluable employee whose contributions are considered essential to the company’s success.
  3. Assume greater responsibilities as the individual’s abilities are realized and the company’s needs and plans unfold.

Required responsibilities and skills:

  1. Provide genuine customer service to accounts on an as-needed basis.
  2. Assist School Relation Associates with tasks such as scheduling, written reports, and communications.
  3. Regularly update a growing database with hard information and insights.
  4. Coordinate individual efforts with team efforts of school relation associates and customer service as well as publishing, accounting, and other groups within the company.
  5. Prepare effective written communications including e-mail, letters, marketing materials, proposals, etc. using MS Word and PDF format.

Education and experience:

This internship requires a minimum of two years of college education in business, communications, economics, or related fields.  Sales or Account Management experience is preferred, but not required.  Background in education market is a plus.
