Part-Time Test Prep Writers

Cambridge Educational Services is a financially secure, small- to medium-sized firm offering test preparation and other educational products and services.  Several years of steady growth, increasing product demand, and reinvestment have positioned the firm for major expansion.

 Cambridge is seeking high level test preparation writers from the fields of language arts, mathematics or science—biology, chemistry, physics, or applied sciences—nationwide who can produce new test preparation questions and instructional test preparation materials.

This writing work can be accomplished by individuals who have other positions or responsibilities. The work can generally be accomplished through phone and electronic communications, so no relocation is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Write and review original language arts, mathematics or science-oriented test prep questions, answer choices, and answer explanations for standardized tests, including ACT®, SAT, GRE®, GMAT®, LSAT®, and others.
  • Responsible for ensuring work is consistent with the approach and content of standardized tests. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in language arts, mathematics or scientific field. 
  • Must have the ability to independently analyze content, and create original test questions, answers, and explanations.
  • High standardized test scores and high GPA preferred.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be dependent upon background/experience.

 

Part-Time Proofreader

Cambridge Educational Services is a financially secure, small to medium-sized firm offering test preparation and other educational products and services.  Several years of steady growth, increasing product demand, and reinvestment have positioned the firm for major expansion. We are seeking candidates who have the ability to proofread classroom-based high school and graduate level educational materials quickly and accurately, who have acute attention to detail, and who have analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

 We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and can work independently. Work is completed remotely. 

Required responsibilities and skills:

  • Identify and correct errors in logic or lesson structure.
  • Check for grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and style errors.
  • Cross-check any standardized test-specific information.
  • Identify formatting errors, line numbering, etc.

Education and experience:

  • This position requires a minimum of 3 years of college-level training in language arts, math and/or science content (degree preferred).
  • Proofreading experience is preferred.
  • High standardized test scores and high GPA preferred.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be dependent upon background/experience.
