LSAT Information and Test Dates

The LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) is required for admission to all 191 LSAC (Law School Admission Council) member law schools. The LSAT is a standardized, multiple-choice exam administered four times a year. Question types include reading comprehension, analytical reasoning and logical reasoning. Examinees are also given one writing sample section. Additionally, the LSAT contains a wild card section that can contain any one of the three multiple-choice topics. The wild card section contains experimental questions to be used for future LSATs and does not count toward the student's overall score.

LSAT examinees get one raw score point for each question answered correctly. Raw scores are converted to scaled scores ranging from 120 (the minimum) to 180 (the maximum) using a formula that is uniquely designed for that particular LSAT.

There is no passing score; students must contact the schools or institutions that interest them to find out if they require a particular score to determine admission.

To find out more information about the LSAT, call (215) 968-1001. The testing schedule and registration deadlines are provided below.

You can register online for the test at the LSAT website.
