Victory for the ACT® Test Resources
Cambridge’s Victory for the ACT® Test program comprises three volumes (Essential Skills, Victory for the ACT, and the Practice Test Book) and is designed to maximize instructional time by allowing teachers to choose the material most appropriate to the immediate instructional goal. With over 90 hours of core content review and over 1,000 reinforcement items, the Victory set gives teachers content and test-strategy items in all four subject areas tested on the ACT test. Teachers cover only those sections most needed by their students as shown on their computer-generated lesson plans. Available in 1) print text, 2) online page flipper, or 3) online (PrepCast), the Cambridge Victory for the ACT® Test materials continue the adaptive, scaffolded (level) approach to learning. Three additional full-length practice tests and additional subject quizzes are included in The Practice Book.
The Essential Skills volume includes review and exercises based on three score ranges of the College Readiness Standards™, spanning everything from foundational middle and high school readiness to the topmost range of college-ready skills, all encountered on the ACT test.
- Basic: ACT score range 13–19
- Intermediate: ACT score range 20–27
- Advanced: ACT score range 28–36
Victory Teacher Guides
Cambridge’s Victory for the ACT® Test teacher guides for print texts, online flipping book, and PrepCast formats systematically present core content and skills, test-taking strategies, and explanations to all classroom text exercises, quizzes, and tests. The course concept outlines help instructors guide students through well-defined content review. Student text items are included in the teacher’s guide for a more user-friendly teaching experience. The Essential Skills teacher’s guide helps teachers easily differentiate classroom instruction based on student needs, and provide the needed practice to fill skill gaps, master ACT skills, and increase ACT scores.
Each item in the Victory teacher lesson guides is supplemented with a wealth of detailed information. Thorough explanations don’t just provide why an answer is correct, but often why the wrong answers are incorrect — a help to teachers covering content outside their comfort zone. In addition, each item is labeled with its difficulty level, pacing suggestion, purpose, and multi-level type (e.g., English / Conventions of Standard English / Sentence Structure / Faulty Parallelism). High-value reminders, margin notes with tips and further insights, and test-taking strategies provide guidance for leading a successful ACT preparation course.
AccelePrep for the ACT Test (Text or Online Page Flipper)
Cambridge’s AccelePrep for the ACT Test is designed for those who want a highly concise and focused prep course — perfect for shorter prep courses, workshops, and boot camps. The systematic, fast-track approach allows students to review content while learning all about the “ins and outs” of the ACT test. Students learn how to effectively navigate test content, avoid common errors and distractors, apply powerful test-taking strategies, and experience high-value item types that offer the best return on preparation. One full-length practice test is included so students can hone their test-taking abilities and put their new knowledge to practice.
Students dispel common test myths and learn about the test’s structure and organization while preparing one section at a time. This section-by-section treatment helps students get on the fast track to understanding the mechanics of the test by examining the directions, the passages, the prompts, and the problems found on the ACT. Each chapter offers a refresher of the most frequently tested concepts, plus strategies for each specific question type. A “Try It Out!” section helps students ensure mastery of the material.

eCelePrep for the ACT® Test
As a supplement to your student program, Cambridge’s eCelePrep for the ACT® Test provides up to 30 hours of rigorous curricula in an interactive, self-guided format. This online material is supported by all devices — computers, tablets, and smartphones — and requires no teacher involvement, making it ideal for students working independently before test day. Students receive pre- and post-tests and lessons on the ACT’s test mechanics, tested concepts, and strategies, plus access to graded practice quizzes and timed mini tests.
The Moodle-based platform also lets teachers monitor when and how long a student has logged in, whether from school or home, and see which problems students answered correctly for more effective supplementary instruction. Teachers can create logs and reports based on the group or individual, the activity (a particular unit, workshop, or quiz), and date.
ACT Score Booster
The Score Booster for the ACT® Test is an interactive database developed to build skills, improve test-taking techniques, and boost test scores. The Score Booster (up to 12 hours) provides students with two comprehensive tests for a testing experience that reflects the actual test. Included explanations help students identify wrong-answer-choice patterns and review troublesome question types. Additional skill-building questions in English and math are sorted by difficulty, allowing students to answer easier questions before moving on to harder ones.
ACT Practice Tests and Assessment Reports
Cambridge provides practice testing (pre- and/or post-testing) with ACT-written, retired practice ACT tests or Cambridge-written full-length practice ACT tests. Each test includes a comprehensive group of data reports (premium or digital-now reports) analyzing your students’ test results.
