Terms and Conditions – Cambridge eReader

Cambridge Educational Services eReader – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cambridge Educational Services eReader (“eReader”), provided by Cambridge Educational Services (“Cambridge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the eReader, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the eReader. 

1. Eligibility 

You must be at least 13 years old or the minimum age required by applicable law to use this service. If you are accessing the eReader on behalf of a school, district, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf. 

2. Access and Authentication 

Access to the eReader is provided through an individual or institutional subscription. Your institution may use integration with Clever or ClassLink for authentication and rostering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us immediately at support@cambridgeed.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. 

3. Subscriptions 

Use of the eReader requires an active subscription, either directly through Cambridge or via your school, district, or other institution. Subscription terms, including content availability, access limits, and expiration dates, are defined in your organization’s service agreement. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if a subscription lapses, is canceled, or if terms of use are violated.

4. Permitted Use 

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the eReader for educational purposes only. You may not: • Share or redistribute any eReader content externally • Attempt to copy, download, alter, or decompile the platform or its content • Use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or district policies 

5. Integration with Third-Party Platforms 

The eReader may be integrated with third-party platforms such as Clever and ClassLink to streamline user access and content delivery. By using these integrations, you agree to the terms of service and privacy policies of those third-party providers. Cambridge does not control the data practices of thirdparty systems and is not liable for issues arising from their use. 

6. Content and Availability 

Content available through the eReader may include textbooks, practice tests, instructional tools, and other proprietary materials. We may update or remove content periodically based on licensing agreements, curriculum changes, or platform improvements. Content availability may vary depending on your institution’s subscription level. 

7. Intellectual Property 

All content and software on the eReader are owned by Cambridge or licensed to us by third-party content providers. All intellectual property rights remain the property of Cambridge Educational Services and/or its licensors. 

8. Privacy 

Your use of the eReader is subject to our Privacy Policy which describes how we collect, use, and protect user data in accordance with FERPA, COPPA, and other applicable privacy laws. 

9. Service Interruptions 

We make every effort to ensure uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance, software updates, or technical issues may temporarily affect access to the eReader. 

10. Termination 

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently revoke your access if we determine that you have violated these Terms, tampered with the platform, or used the service in a manner inconsistent with the subscription agreement. 

11. Limitation of Liability 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cambridge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the eReader. 

12. Modifications to Terms 

Cambridge may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the eReader after modifications are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These are retired tests, intended for practice purposes only and not for official administration, and are based on high school curriculum as of the copyright dates of the tests. Cambridge’s products and services, including its score reports, are not approved or endorsed by ACT, Inc., The College Board, or the other companies that develop the tests, and Cambridge has no affiliation with any of those entities.
